Colin Seis has recently won the Bob Hawke Landcare Award for his work in pasture cropping. The Chittering Landcare Group have been awarded funding to fly Colin Seis over from New South Wales to promote the pasture cropping and no-till practices. There will be presentations in the morning and we will travel to a local property after lunch to examine no-till equipment and perennial pastures. What is pasture cropping?

Pasture cropping is sowing a cash crop – oats, wheat or barley into perennial grasses without destroying the grasses using a no-till method. The soil improves with less expense. Come to the workshop to earn about all of the benefits.
