We would like to invite you to attend our “Birds, Wildflowers and Weeds Workshop” to be held on Saturday the 6th of September, at Blackboy Ridge.

The day will start at 7.30am with a birdwalk with the Chittering Bird Group. Come along and meet this enthusiastic group. Learn how to identify birds and their calls and see how many birds can spot and hear. Please bring binoculars or we have pairs for you to borrow.

This will be followed by a wildflower walk. A botanist will be present to point out some of the beautiful wildflowers in the reserve and how to identify them. We will also be pulling out any weeds that we see along the way!

After morning tea, there will be a snake awareness session, with a live display. The Chittering Wildlife Carer will also be present with joeys and cockatoos.

The workshop will run from 7.30am to 1pm, with a BBQ lunch provided. The cost for this workshop is $5, and free for members. Thanks to those who have already RSVP’d. To RSVP, please reply to this email or call – 9571 0200.
