Cocky Cabins ‘n’ Cuisine Workshop

Come along to find out more about these wonderful birds and how you can contribute to vital research to slow the decline in their numbers.
Guest Speakers include:

Wally Kerkhof – Sharing his extensive knowledge of Black Cockatoos and his long term work in building artificial nesting hollows from old fallen timber.

Rachel Walmsley – Community Landcare Coordinator at Moore Catchment Council will be discussing success rates of chicks in artificial nesting hollows and ongoing efforts to secure habitat for these endangered birds.

Other topics will include long term Citizen Science projects designed to monitor bird activities and programs to reduce further declines in populations.

The workshop will run from 6pm to 8.30pm with a light meal provided.  The cost for this workshop is $5.50 and free for members.  To RSVP, please email chitteringlandcare@iinet.net.au or call 9571 0400.
