European house borer update

European house borer (EHB) Hylotrupes bajulus is a destructive pest of seasoned coniferous timber including pine, fir and spruce. If allowed to become established it can cause major structural damage to buildings.

Chittering, Central Chittering, Lower Chittering, South Bullsbrook are now RESTRICTED MOVEMENT ZONES for European House Borer.  Seasoned Pinewood that has been in an RMZ for 72 hours must not be removed from the RMZ. Unseasoned pinewood must not be removed from from a RMZ during the EHB flight season control period (1 September to 30 April) unless authorised to do so.
